On April 25th, the PDA Delaware Valley Chapter held it’s 1st Annual Spring Exhibiting Event at Presidential Caterers in Norristown, PA. Our event started with over 100 attendees, visiting 23 local suppliers/vendors, networking with colleagues, and enjoying light appetizers. The attendees were able to purchase raffle tickets to win the prizes donated by the suppliers/vendors present. There were gift cards, various kinds of electronic devices, and more to win! We raffled off these items by drawing a winning ticket from each of the prizes, and these lucky attendees left with more than they intended…in a good way.
We then moved into the presentation room where Stephanie Kuhla, CEO of Advanta Advertising, unveiled the launch of our brand new, mobile-friendly, responsively-designed website. Stephanie provided an overview the features and capabilities of the new PDA Delaware Valley website.
We ended our evening with a very informative presentation by Karyn Campbell from the FDA Philadelphia District. Karyn talked about inspection behaviors, current enforcement trends, reviewed data integrity, CDER’s Office of Product Quality, and introduced us to combination products. Karyn discussed many points of interest to the audience and had attendees on their seats up until the very end (which was after 9pm)!
All in all, the chapter considers this event a success and the money raised will be used for future charitable donations. With some future improvements to implement, we feel this event can grow into one of our largest events of the year!
